Affiliate Disclosure

We earn commissions. Here's exactly how that works — and why it doesn't change what we recommend.

1. Who We Are

eSIMinsider is operated by HD Solutions GmbH, Danckelmannstr. 9, 14059 Berlin, Germany (Handelsregister Berlin-Charlottenburg, HRB 152485). We run an independent comparison portal for travel eSIM plans. Our revenue is generated entirely through affiliate commissions — we do not charge users, accept display advertising, or receive payment for editorial placements.

2. What Affiliate Marketing Means

When you click a "Get This Plan" button on eSIMinsider and subsequently purchase an eSIM from the provider, we receive a commission from that provider. This commission is paid by the provider, not by you — the price you pay is identical whether you arrived via our link or directly.

This practice is known as affiliate marketing and is standard across the comparison-site industry. All affiliate links on this site carry the HTML attribute rel="noopener noreferrer sponsored" to signal their commercial nature to browsers and search engines.

3. Our Affiliate Partners and Networks

We currently maintain affiliate relationships with the following eSIM providers:

  • Ubigi (ubigi.com)
  • eSIMony (esimony.com)

These relationships are managed through the following affiliate networks:

  • Awin (awin.com) — Awin AG, Eichhornstraße 3, 10785 Berlin, Germany

When you click an affiliate link, your browser may communicate with the respective network's tracking infrastructure to attribute the referral. Both Impact and Awin are subject to their own privacy policies, which we recommend you review.

This list is updated whenever we add or remove provider partnerships. The absence of a provider from this list means we have no commercial relationship with them.

4. How Our Ranking Works

Plans are ranked primarily by effective price per gigabyte, calculated as total price divided by data volume (in GB), adjusted for validity period and applicable activation fees. The cheapest plan for a given destination always appears first — regardless of which provider offers it or what commission rate that provider pays us.

Commission rates vary between providers and plans. We do not adjust, suppress, or promote plans based on commission size. Our ranking algorithm treats all providers equally.

Badges such as "Best Value" or "Most Popular" are assigned based on objective criteria (price-per-GB and purchase frequency data), not commercial arrangements.

5. What Happens When You Click an Affiliate Link

When you click a provider link, your browser is redirected to the provider's website. During this process, the provider may set a tracking cookie on your device to attribute the referral to eSIMinsider. This cookie typically remains for 30–90 days depending on the provider's programme.

The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in attributing sales commissions). You can prevent this by using browser settings to block third-party cookies, or by visiting the provider's website directly.

6. Editorial Independence

Our editorial team operates independently from our commercial partnerships. Providers cannot purchase higher rankings, remove negative information, or influence how their plans are described. If we identify issues with a provider — pricing errors, poor customer service, misleading plan descriptions — we report them regardless of our affiliate relationship.

If you ever believe our rankings appear commercially biased, please contact us. We take such concerns seriously and will investigate.

7. Price Accuracy

We update plan prices regularly from provider websites. Despite our efforts, prices may change between our last update and your visit. Always verify the final price on the provider's website before purchasing. The price shown on the provider's checkout page is the binding price.

8. Legal Basis for Disclosure

This disclosure is made in compliance with § 5a of the German Act Against Unfair Competition (UWG), the FTC's Guides Concerning Use of Endorsements and Testimonials (16 CFR Part 255), and applicable EU consumer protection regulations. Commercial intent is disclosed on every page of this website that contains affiliate links.
